Expressive Arts Classes, Workshops and Exhibitions for children!

 

OHBK Kids promotes creative thinking, and experientials for your child’s mind, body and soul. Our child-centered approach, invites the spirit of improvisation and discovery! We emphasize process over product. Accessible and recycled materials are utilized to provide a D.I.Y learning space, offering lessons and ideas for art directives that can easily be applied at home. All sessions are guided with a therapeutic lens, encouraging creativity development, self-expression, relaxation, play and mindfulness practice.

Session 1: 2:00 pm(ages 6+) Keith Haring, Feelings and Mural Making!

 

This class will focus on the bright and bold works of artist, Keith Haring. Group will become acquainted with Haring’s work and learn about symbolism. We will explore how drawing can be a simple and easy way to convey ideas and feelings…For more info and to register: Click Here

Session 2: 4:00 pm (ages 4+ w/caregiver) Family Dream Catching

This workshop will explore fun and artistic ways to express feelings, hopes and dreams. Group will begin with playful relaxation exercises & guided imagery, culminating in the creation of collaborative Dream Catchers!

Families will work together to create their own large scale dream catchers. A wide variety of strings, beads and other vibrant tactile materials will be explored. Families encouraged to bring in small symbolic trinkets from home to add to their dream catchers. For more info and to register: Click Here
